Leading up to our weekend city-break to Copenhagen, I did a tiny bit of shopping… and then a tiny bit more once we arrived. So, of course, I was excited to take my new pieces out for a test drive. Luckily, it was ridiculously sunny and gorgeous the entire weekend, and the scenery was made for street style snapping.
And the best part of all? It was my birthday, so MR obliged and happily played photographer without complaint. Okay, he maybe complained once… but that was only when the picture-taking was starting to get in the way of beer-drinking.
I wear these babies so often that they’re almost reaching retirement age. They go with everything and are perfect for walking long city blocks… which is why they’re nearly worn out.
Jeans: Banana Republic
Old standbys. Nothing notable, but they do the job.
Something about this sleeveless, black tee is just so perfect.
Necklace: Monica Vinader
Probably my favourite piece of jewelry I own.
Trench coat: Massimo Dutti
Bought this trench coat during a trip to Bruge and fell in love. It’s such a classic piece.
Glasses: Oliver Peoples
These are part of a feature I did for The Telegraph… coming soon!
When the sun went behind the clouds, it got a bit chillier than expected. Luckily, that provided the perfect excuse to pop into Monki and pick up a super-cosy wool scarf. I’ve bought a few Monki pieces on ASOS in the past but this was the first time I’ve seen an actual Monki store. It’s a bit of a shabby set-up but it definitely had a few cool finds.
This boho maxi dress from Zara is one of my fave new pieces. I love that the style/cut feels very ’70s, but they tiny daisy print feels so ’90s. I’m sure I had a dress in this exact print when I was about 12.
Leather jacket: Zara
This classic moto jacket has lasted me three years now and it’s still one of my go-to pieces.
Same as Day 1. There’s only so much room in an EasyJet-approved carry-on!
A birthday pressie from a certain kind-hearted husband from a couple of years ago.
Another new piece, this midi faux-leather skirt from Warehouse deserves its own fan page. Often things advertised as “midi” end up falling above the knee on me, but this is the perfect length.
Got this pleated, mustard top as part of my latest Zara haul. The back dips down in a V, and I actually think I could get away with wearing it reversed, as well. Stay tuned.
Jeans: Banana Republic
Another Monki purchase. They had a three-for-two deal going, so I picked up this colourful guy, the scarf and this casual grey striped dress. It’s a bit mad, but that’s kind of why I like it.
Still obsessed with these perforated Nikes. I wear them a lot. Because they are awesome.
Mirrored orange lenses are the business.
