Sometimes on a lazy Saturday I like to play dress-up in my wardrobe and come up with new outfit combinations. Mostly they’re crazy – but occasionally I stumble on something that actually works.
We hosted a little Friendsgiving at our flat last night, so most of today was spent nursing hangovers and cleaning the kitchen. (So much leftover pumpkin pie!) But, luckily, I did get outside in time to enjoy a couple short hours in the sunshine.
Last week I posted a Fashion Formula based on flowers and stripes — and this week I decided to put it to the test. Even though it may not be that sunny in London right now, these bright colours are definitely helping to put me in a warmer mood.
I’m all about mixing prints in unexpected ways, and one of my favourite combinations at the mo is stripes and florals. If you keep the stripes thin, they can almost serve as a neutral – and they pair perfectly with this season’s beautiful blooms.
